1230 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10029 — a landmark theater on Museum Mile in East Harlem, blocks from where the movement began. A fitting home for a historic gathering on the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
El Teatro at El Museo del Barrio sits on Fifth Avenue at 104th Street, on the northern stretch of Manhattan's Museum Mile. The 599-seat theater anchors a cultural landmark founded in 1969 — a setting that matches the weight of the occasion.
Take the 6 train to 103rd Street — a five-minute walk west to Fifth Avenue. The 2 and 3 stop at Central Park North (110th St) on the West Side, a short crosstown connection away.
The M1, M2, 3, and 4 run along Fifth and Madison Avenues and stop within a block of the entrance. The crosstown M106 serves 96th–106th Streets.
Taxis and rideshare drop off directly on Fifth Avenue. Street parking is limited; paid garages on Madison Avenue and East 96th–106th Streets are the most reliable option for drivers.
Coming from the airports: JFK and LaGuardia are roughly 30–45 minutes by car. From Penn Station or Grand Central, the trip uptown takes about 20 minutes by subway.
We've reserved a block of rooms at a reduced conference rate, held until August 10, 2026 or until the block sells out. Rooms are within easy reach of El Museo del Barrio by subway or a short cab ride, so you can start each day close to the venue.
Mention "Turning the Tide 2026" when booking to receive the group rate. Rooms are limited and assigned first come, first served.
Hotel name and booking link will be confirmed here closer to the conference. Check back or watch your registration email for the reservation portal.
Reserve your seat and your room, and join the movement in New York City this September.
